Breastfeeding?: If you are breastfeeding, it could be awhile. As breastfeeding increases prolactin which suppresses ovulation. Some women cycle around 6-12 months after delivery if bf for 1 year. If not breastfeeding, could occur in a few days or a few months. You'll ovulate before you bleed, so be sure if you don't want pregnancy soon, to use protection. If you had cesarean, best to wait 18mo b4 trying again.

Menstrual cycles: It varies. If you are breastfeeding, it will take a longer time but it may take several months for your cycle to return even if you aren't most women will start within the 2-3 months after the delivery.
