Probably not. : It is possible that scar tissue is contributing to your pain or preventing medication from spreading within the thecal sac. Worth a try. But a "pain pump" doesn't drip medications onto a right "spot" actually, but generally in the area of the spinal canal (where opioids actually work anyway). I would wonder if a dorsal columns stimulator might be a better choice, works in a different way.

Yes: Your doctor might be referring to the lysis of adhesions procedure (racz catheter) which uses a catheter and enzyme to break up scar tissue. This procedure can be very helpful and was invented by my mentor dr. Racz! great doctor!
