Depends: As a rule anything ingested can get into the mother's milk. While Celexa (citalopram) is a rather benign medication, it is probably best not to take it. However, the mother's mental health must be taken into consideration. If depression and/or anxiety are bad it will also have an effect on the infant. Speak to your ob/gen or pediatrician to help you weigh the risks and benefits.
