Possibly: The rectum is posterior to the bladder. Stool in the lower intestine, or rectum, can push against the bladder and reduce its capacity to hold urine. In recent study, four out of five demonstrated stool burden consistent with constipation. Many times constipation not apparent. Urinary tract infections in children are also similarly related to constipation.
