Varies: Unfortunately back pain and pain running into the hip or leg is fairly common during pregnancy and is often relieved when the baby is born. Warning signs for a more serious condition which may require more aggressive treatment would include numbness or weakness in the leg, bowel or bladder function changes, or a profound limp when walking on the hip itself.
