Doubtful.: Also not far from normal h/h for a young adult male. Living at a high altitude (over 2000 meters) can also produce high hct/hgb.

I have had high RBC for 9months w/ normal-high but increasing hemoglobin&hematocrit. All levels are now high. Could dehydration be the reason? I am female and drink min 40oz of water per day &follow a healthy diet with exercise. No medications.
My haptoglobin level is elevated, at 2.65 g/L (ref. 0.17-2.00). Is this in and of itself a cause for concern (e.g. cancer)? I have also been experiencing low iron/hemoglobin/hematocrit for some time. Kidney/liver function normal. GI tract is clear.
