No: It is a good medicine for depression and anxiety and well tolerated by people your age. It is not harmful to take daily.

Very unlikely: Sertraline is very safe. Apart from weight gain which can be an issue and possibly increased osteoporosis especially in menopausal women, there are very little health risks. If one is bipolar, consider it may destabilise mood or cause mania, but for most it is one of the safest mesds and has not much problem with interaction with other medications.
