Difficult to say: Joint pain, esp. When there are several joints involved, causes rage from serious auto-immune disease to a side effect of a self limited viral infection. If only one joint is involved, there may be an infection in the joint. Many details of the history, and exam findings are important. Please get a formal evaluation by your regular doctor, or go to a rheumatologist.
