Your genes: How thick or thin a beard you can grow is entirely genetic. I am going to assume that you are normally masculinized with normal erections and ejaculations. It has nothing to do with your virility. Many women in the usa and europe prefer a man with a thin beard; if your culture expects you to grow a thick one, you have my sympathy. Teen idol justin bieber (photo) can't grow a beard either.

Be patient: You might possibly have genetically determined sparse facial hair--look at your other male relatives. If not, your facial hair will likely develop with time. Minoxidil (rogaine) will usually grow hair wherever it is applied, but it is expensive and must be continued in order for hair produced to continue growing (and the hair that grows is usually pretty wispy and soft), .
