Blepharitis: This is a condition of the edges of your eyelids where the lashes grow. It consists of inflammation, irritation, and redness of the eyelid margins along with crusting at the bases of your lashes. Symptoms are typically worse in the mornings with the lids often mattered shut. Treatment consists of cleaning the eyelid margins and application of antibiotic gel or ointment at bedtime for 1-2 wks.
