What is the difference between tagament and protonix (pantoprazole)?

Different type meds: Tagamet (cimetidine) is an h2-blocker. It has been around since the mid 1980s. It suppresses gastric acid via one pathway. Protonix is a ppi and blocks acid production via a different mechanism of action.
