Not normal but: Not unusual as the anal canal has significant vascularity or blood vessels including your hemorrhoids and any unusual trauma can cause bleeding, infection and actual damage too the anal sphincter mechanism which can be a very difficult thing to treat. I would avoid anal intercourse if possible.
