Decreased estrogen: This could be related to perimenopausal changes related to decreased estrogen. This is worth running by your ob/gyn in order to discuss ways to regulate your cycle.

I agree, dark or more dried blood just means that it is light and it dries on the way out.. likely due to lower hormones but why? This may be normal, but see your doc to get tests if indicated.
