Yep: That's a side effect of depoprovera- as is wt gain and depression. Would consider getting an office sterilization with essure or adianna - or tell your spouse its time to man-up and get it done. As you get into 40's ovarian function tends to diminish so estrogen levels that were already low b/c of Depo-Provera will get worse.

Depo Provera (medroxyprogesterone) is bad: I think ten years of depoprovera is too long. Most doctors do not like depoprovera for long term due to its side effects. This medicine can cause weight gain, acne, headaches, irregular bleeding, and bone loss. Change medications.
