Can amoxicillin be taken for an insect bite?

A doctor has provided 1 answer
Dr. James Ferguson answered

Why ??: It hasno effect on an insect bite. Simply keeping the site clean will generally be followed by natural healing. Were a bite to become infected i would not use that medication anyway.
