New 4 osteoporosis: Prolia is an exciting new drug for treating osteoporosis. Twice a year subcutaneous injection, easy to do in office. Don't have to use infusion centers as for reclast (zoledronic acid).

Prolia: It is a relatively new medicine for this condition and it is given as a twice/year subcutaneous injections in the office--not for home use at this time. If you are interested in such info/treatment, consult your doc for appropriate assessment and treatment for you... Good luck.

Prolia: You are probably talking about prolia. It is expensive ( close to $ 1000 per inj.), requires copayments of near $200 per injection, requires authorization from insurer and has possible side effects.
