Can itching the roof of your mouth with your palette give you an infection?

Yes-: If you break the surface lining that covers the roof of your mouth, microbes can invade the underlying tissue and cause an infection. This is especially true if you have severe dental caries or periodontal infection- that same bacteria causing these two conditions can invade the break in your palate, and cause infection.
