Different treatments: Acne treatment is geared towards the type of acne the patient has. Inflammatory papules and pustules (pimples) respond to topical and / or oral antibiotics. Blackheads (comedones) respond only to topical treatments (retinoids such as retin a (tretinoin) or differin or tazorac) , glycolic acid and salicylic acid.
