Dementia: Senile dementia refers most directly to memory loss and a loss of cognitive functioning that interferes with daily living activities, such that a person can no longer care for themselves. Uncomplicated means that there are no additional symptoms such as anger, anxiety, paranoia, psychosis that also contribute to the disorder and make care planning a more challenging task.
