Moisture: Trench foot is basically an over-saturation of the feet with moisture. It is often seen when functioning for long periods of time in wet environments without changing shoes and socks. Untreated, it can lead to bacterial or fungal infections. The best treatment is frequent changing of footwear, use of drying agents like powders, etc and avoiding wet environments altogether.
