Not usually: Most vaginal cysts are benign and were present at birth. They rarely cause any symptoms, unless they get very large. Brown discharge is usually old blood that comes from the cervix or uterus. While bleeding from the cervix or uterus is usually not a problem, it can be a sign of serious problems and you should probably see a women's health specialist for evaluation.
