Can nocturnal generalized seizures disrupt the sleep cycle and cause erratic sleep and daytime sleepiness? will anti-seizure meds help?

Seizures: Yes your sleep cycles can be disrupted. Sleepiness during the day may be due to a post ictal state. There is no question that medication willmhelp. See your doctor or a neurologist for medication.

Yes: That can occur and antiseizure meds would help. A sleep study with an expanded montage (more eeg leads) would be the way to evaluate it, or a several day ambulatory eeg.
