Many things: Burning at beginning of intercourse may be from vaginismus, which is from involuntary contraction of the pelvic floor muscles; this can lead to burning / stinging sensation or pain during intercourse. Infection, anxiety, stress may also contribute to the symptom you described. Please see a gynecologist for further evaluation and treatment.
