Spinal tap: If you mean intracranial pressure, icp is accurately measured by a spinal tap but that is invasive and before that there are often tell tale symptoms like headaches and vomiting. An important sign is papilledema which can be found by an ophthalmoscopic exam by your pcp, neurologist or ophthalmologist.
