It does: Sids is not limited to the us. Unfortunately, accurately determining the true rate of sids in other countries is difficult because of differences in reporting between countries.

You are misinformed: Sids does exist in the non developed world- unfortunately they have many other things that contribute to infant mortality and due to their limited resources these cases are not well documented. In general sids is not a common disorder. We have been able to target many causes or associations with sids. Includes but not limited to- co-sleeping, stomach sleeping , smoking etc.
