Can happen : Anytime. You can start taking regular aleve (naproxen) 3 twice a day 2 days prior to the onset and during the period and take warm baths to help it.

See your doctor : If you are noticing a sudden change in your cycle pattern that is recurring, you may want to see your doctor. They will be able to obtain your history and symptoms and determine a cause. You may want to rule out pregnancy. Take careful observation of any changes in the last two months that could cause this, like birth control changes, stress, addition or elimination of medications.
