When my husband pees the yellow goes to the bottom. what does that mean?

Crystals: Especially at a more acid ph, the uric acid that is normally present in the urine precipitates as crystals as it cools. The crystals take some of the yellow tinge (both molecules are aromatic ring systems) and also settle to the bottom.
