Can i help my headbanging child withot headgear?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: The cool design of the kids head makes it pretty tolerant to the headbanging. Its done either to get attention, release frustration or as a self stimulating behavior. They go through it without brain damage&if it hurts enough at any point they quit. You can watch them out of peripheral vision & not provide them with the direct eye contact they are trying to get. Over time they grow out of this.
