Measles! : Koplik spots manifest 2-3 days before the measles rash itself. They are clustered white spots on the buccal mucosa opposite the lower 1st & 2nd molars & are pathognomonic for measles. Individuals of any age exposed to the child need to call their doctors. Also, notify the child's pediatrician & the County Health Department. See: www.cdc.gov/measles/ for potential complications.
