A member asked:

Can you use coconut oil topically for an infected piercing?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: While coconut oil can be soothing for inflamed skin, true infected piercing a will require a topical antibiotic and sometimes even a systemic antibiotic to heal. Try something like neomycin or Bacitracin ointment (assuming you are not allergic). If the problem continues, please see your doctor.
