can you get food poisoning from ice?

Dr. Edison Wong

Yes: Not all bacteria, fungi or viruses are killed by ice. That is why when traveling abroad to countries with questionable sanitation, you are told not to drink the water or the ice, bottled or boiled water is the safe, potable form of plain water in those countries.
