Possibly....: I would always suggest the male wear a condom, or risk serious prostatitis. And also to prevent hpv, herpes, and other stds being transmitted. For the female, usually lubrication would be needed and the attempts should be gradual, as not to cause pain, anal fissures, and general trauma. If the female either has pain and discomfort and does not enjoy it, then the activity should be removed!

Anal Receptive Sex: carries a # of risks. Trauma can lead to rectal prolapse, anal fissure, tearing of tissues, ^ hemorrhoid sxs & Anodyspareunia (pain). Unprotected anal receptive sex has ^ risk for transmission of infections due to rectal microorganisms as well STD's due to tearing of delicate tissues. Anilingus (oral – anal sex) is also associated w potential transmission of infections.
