Male or female?: Males can develop urethral strictures (narrowing) from trauma or infection especially gonorrhea. Blockage can develop slowly. Ur young to have prostate enlargement, but can occur in younger men. Could have a tight bladder neck or even urethral valves. Women can develop a cystocele or dropped bladder which gets itsef pinched off ; prevents satisfactory emptying.Consult urologist or uro-gynecologist.
