A member asked:

Why does food get stuck in my diaphragm?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Hiatal hernia: Technically it is not stuck in your diaphragm but feels stuck in your diaphragm area...You could have reflux or narrowing of the esophagus or a hiatal hernia. I have had lots of success with acupuncture and chinese medicine getting food to move and digest. If you are in chronic discomfort then see your md as well.
