Eye structures: There are several normal eye and eyelid structures in the corners of our eyes. The ones that I am most often asked about are along the eyelid edges near the inside corners of the eyes. There are small bulges which correspond to the areas where the tear drainage holes are placed. These are totally normal.

Cysts and others: Cysts are common around the eyes, and these are usually fluid filled and of various size. On the white of the eye, small growths called pinguecula are on either side of the colored part of the eye, and may be yellowish. These are benign and rarely cause any problem. On the lids, some people will have tiny viral growths called papillomas, which are also benign.
