Essentially no: Very severe degue can cause multisystem organ failure, primarily from bleeding due to impaired clotting factors, in which case kidneys can be affected. As reported by Dr. Fowler. Fortunately kidneys are not affected in more than 85% of cases. Possibly more as mild cases may well not be reported.
