What kind of decongestant can a 3 year old take?

The AAP states...: The american academy of pediatrics has recently announced that under the age of 6 years old decongestants and cough medications have not been proven effective. Having said that, your pediatrician could more clearly advise you as to exactly what measures should be used if your 3 year old has a cold or allergy that is triggering the congestion in question. Most suggest nasal saline and mild suction.

None: Medications have safety risks and are not recommended at this age..Use of saline nasal spray and a vaporizer are best.
