Antibiotics: Usually this condition mimics other conditions like appendicitis and diverticulitis and it is diagnosed in retrospect after a surgical resection. If your doctors are absolutely sure of their diagnosis antibiotics and time are the treatment. The danger is if the real diagnosis is another condition which wi not improve without surgery. Hopefully a general surgeon is involved in your care.

Fat: It is a twisted piece of fat on the colon. It can be diagnosed by cat scan and surgery is not usually necessary.
