Hi! 10 weeks out from far lateral micro discectomy l3-l5. 2 bilateral blocks worked great for intense leg pain. should i still have back pain?

Back pain: Back pain is frequently difficult to improve with a discectomy as the disc itself can be a source of pain versus the disc causing leg pain due to nerve root compression. The nerves tend to respond quicker than the disc. At 10 weeks i think it is too early to get disappointed. Be sure to follow up with your surgeon to discuss your symptoms.
