Realize you are not: In immediate danger. That should help you avoid a panic attack. There is a reason for bloody mucous and it does need to be checked out but it is not going to harm you any time soon. Make an appointment with your doctor and you will get the help you need.

Taking action will: Reduce your anxiety. This is not normal and does need to be checked out medically. As you take an active role in your healthcare it should help to reduce your sense of helplessness and panic. Just to be aware - bloody diarrhea would be a medical emergency. Slow down, breath - take care.
