As you wish: It depends on why you're drinking it. If using it for nausea or gas, you might want to drink after each meal. You can cut fresh ginger into small pieces and simmer on low heat in 2 cups water for 15 min. Strain; add honey or lemon if desired. For colds, coughs, sore throat, or to balance blood circulation, drink1-3 cups/day. You can also use tea bags, but this is also a nice way to make.

No set amount: Depending on what you are trying to accomplish. Just be sure it is not too strong or too often or it might work as a laxative.
