Sharp foot pain: Depending on the location of the pain, there are several conditions in the foot that will cause a radiating type pain that goes up the leg. If x-ray of the foot is negative for a fracture and no direct injury is known, there is a good chance this may be a neuroma. This is a condition where the nerve between the long bones of the foot called the metatarsals becomes pinched resulting..Inflammation.

Once in awhile I get sharp pains in my knees that shoot down to my ankles and feet. On a scale 1 good- 10 not good. My pain would be about an 8.
