Sore throat near the collarbone, what could be causing this?

Sounds more like --: Laryngitis and trachiitis, which are inflammation of the larynx (voice box) and its downward extension, trachea (wind pipe). These can result from too much singing, shouting, viral or other infections, etc, etc. Resting, ibuprofen, would certainly help.
