Ask pharmacist: Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine hcl) typically comes in 5 or 10 mg tablets. Solid white tablets that are scored (have a line through the center to show where to cut) can be split. A pill cutter can make this easier.

A 41-year-old member asked:

Difference between cyclobenzaprines and cyclobenzaprine hcl?

Apparently not.: There is no difference. The hcl is used to form the finished product through dehydration. These are given in tablets, like apo-cyclobenzaprine (10 mg tablets), Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine hcl) (5 and 10 mg tablets) and fexmid (7.5 mg tablet). They are also given in capsules. The preparation amrix, is available in 15- and 30-mg capsules given once-a-day, extended-release. The brand name is flexeril (cyclobenzaprine hcl).
