45minutes-2days: The answer to this is complicated. When you start the Suboxone you are started on low dose because there is still some regular opiate (i.e. Oxycodone) in you. You should notice the initial 2mg in 45 minutes, after two days on Suboxone you can be on the normal dose (16mg a day) and you should notice the benefit that day.

Suboxone treatment : Usually it takes about three to five days before the dose is stable, depending on several factors like how well the patient keeps the liquid as it dissolves under the tongue and how much opiates the person had in their system to start with. I have my patients swish the juices underneath their tongue for 20 minutes and then to spit it out. Discussing this with your doctor would be great. Good luck!
