It can be. : Risperidone causes some sedation due to mild antihistaminic properties. It is used as a mood stabilizer and an antipyschotic. Because of blockade of Dopamine receptors, it is good to add another antihistamine or anticholinergic med to create balance in the neurotransmitter systems of the brain, and to lower the side effects of risperdal. The additional antihistamine can also be sedating.

Keep bedroom dark ; cool ; use only for sex ; sleep. Turn off tv. No naps. Exercise regularly but not in late evening. No caffeine for 6 hrs ; no alcohol or tobacco w/i 2 hrs of sleep. Keep dinner moderate sized ; finish at.
