See below: Usuually chronic kidney disease does not improove to prevent it getting worse, treat underlying cause, BP control and cholesterol control are basic also prevent further harm by avoiding medications eg ibuprofen, aleve (naproxen) etc and also intravenous contrast iodinated dyes used for ct scans angiogram, unless absolutely necessary.
