Not too early: Variation in periods is more common than most women think. But, if you got pregnant 5 weeks ago, the test should be positive. If you got pregnant a week ago, the test will be negative. So test to see, but don't be surprised if it is negative (most likely). Worth checking since this is an unusal period for you and you might be pregnant.

Missing Information: When was your last normal period? When do you ovulate in your cycle? When did you have unprotected exposure to semen in your cycle? It is not too early to test for the exposure five weeks ago but way too early for the exposure one week ago.
