Is cfs related to depression?

80% of CFS patients: Meet criteria for major depression. Cfs (chronic fatigue syndrome) patients do not have epstein-barr virus or any other viruses for that matter that can be found to clearly cause chronic fatigue syndrome. Other medical problems that can cause fatigue have to be looked for. Fibromyalgia, irritable bowel syndrome and temporomandibular joint disease are associated disorders but not causes for cfs.
