Depends: Everyone responds to this differently. Try rice and nsaids to help decrease your swelling. Also minimize your weightbearing on that foot. Best of luck!

It depends: It will depend on whether the fracture is stable and immobilized properly. As it heals and stays in position, the swelling should begin to subside. Time varies from individual to individual.
